Wednesday, September 20th, at 7:00 p.m., hear a little about comedy legend Doug Kenney from Chicago-based biographer Josh Karp, who wrote A Futile and Stupid Gesture: How Doug Kenney and National Lampoon Changed Comedy Forever. Karp will be signing books at the Book Cellar on North Lincoln.

Kenney was the founder of National Lampoon, and an iconic figure of 1970s counterculture comedy, writing both Animal House and Caddyshack before dying an untimely death, in 1980, at the age of 33.
