People Under the Stares Recap, That Football Game Thingee
The Bastion had fun at the People Under the Stares show in its cozy new home, the Hideout, last Tuesday night. Fay Canale made fun of us for drinking water before Mike Bridenstine made the hipsters laugh at themselves and Hannibal reminded us of the debt we all owe to the dude who invented the New Courier font. Special guest Morgan Murphy, who was very friendly to her nerdy annoying fans (you know, us) cracked up the room with her dry and imaginative comedy, speculating that Anne Frank would make a kick-ass blogger.
Is there some big football game or something going on this weekend? Schadenfreude's Justin Kaufmann reminded us of this Ditka doozie from way back when. Who needs the Superbowl Shuffle when you've got a city full of enthusiastic Grabowskis? Check out the hair...the music...thank god the '80's only happened once.
